Jennifer Arrendale, Jane Arrendale Sims, and Julie Arrendale, sisters and co-owners, opened their designer boutique in August 2001 with a specific mission in mind. The three sisters followed their dream and brought Atlanta a chic jeans boutique aptly dubbed - Blue Genes.
Since it's opening, Blue Genes has expanded into a 7,000 square foot. mini-department store for men, women and kids.
Nurv took on the mission for shopbluegenes.com to become a major player in the online fashion e-commerce landscape. We started by creating a full scale marketing strategy that would enable shopbluegenes.com not only to compete, but grow far beyond similar companies. Blue Genes strengths are that they have a loyal client base, and 3 sisters that through the years have formed unique buying relationships to get the latest styles first. The weakness was their old website had no functionality, no search engine optimization and was just plain ugly. We started by re-designing the entire site. We then launched an online marketing plan that includes website optimization, micro sites, a blog, search engine optimization, online advertising, social networking, and analytics. Within the first 2 months we grew Blue Genes online revenues by over 400%. This was so successful that they dropped traditional advertising such as print mailers and replaced them with our twice a week e-mailer's. Most recently to help with the economy crunch, we lunched a side of the site called Green Genes where people could buy and sell recycled brand name Jeans.
